Burned by the budget, right warns Ryan on immigration

BURNED BY THE BUDGET, RIGHT WARNS RYAN ON IMMIGRATIONp13102012.png

ㅤ”House conservatives are warning Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) to take a hard line on immigration or else risk facing a revolt in his own ranks.”

ㅤô¿ô …Idle threats. It’s been difficult for Republicans to pass anything in the Senate. Clearly a pattern is emerging where the House Republicans will pass anything Senate Republicans are able to pass. There is a lot less pressure on Paul Ryan. Probably why Ryan seems much happier lately.

ㅤ’My tax reform priorities have been the same since day one: bringing tax cuts for hardworking, middle-income Americans; eliminating unfair loopholes and deductions; and slashing business taxes so employers can create jobs, raise wages, and dominate their competition around the world,’ the President said.”

GOP scrambling to finalize tax bill hours before rollout

Pictured: Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.)

ㅤ”The next several hours will be critical, GOP sources say. Should progress be made, Republicans will continue as planned and introduce their bill Wednesday around noon after briefing the entire House Republican conference at 9 a.m. Should they falter, tax reform may have to wait another day.
ㅤ’I would say there is a lot of Red Bull and Monster being drank in there right now,’ said Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.), vice chairman of the House Republican Conference. ‘The whole Ways and Means crew knew this would be a tough lift — and we’ve not even gotten to the rollout of the actual details yet.”
