Franken resigns over sexual misconduct allegations

ㅤ”‘ I Know in my heart that nothing I have done as a senator, nothing, has brought dishonor on this institution, and I am confident that the Ethics Committee would agree. Nevertheless, today I am announcing that in the coming weeks I will be resigning as a member of the United States Senate,’ Franken said from the Senate floor.”

Dem senator: Distraction to call for Franken’s resignation

ㅤPictured: Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii)

ㅤô¿ô …Just like Charlottesville, the President was reluctant to give a response to the Moore scandal, instead preferring to stay out of a situation that doesn’t concern him, as most all of us would in his position.
ㅤOnce again the media and Dems seized the opportunity to back the President into a corner.
ㅤThis time however, Trump gave the perfect response. He just stated two facts: 1) Moore has denied the allegations and 2) it’s not good for the GOP to have a liberal Senator from Alabama.
ㅤConversely, Ms. Hirono’s dismissal of accusations against Franken is the most partisan pile of crap I’ve ever heard. This woman has a lot of damn gall. Democrat scum.

Joy Behar: If Franken Should Resign, So Should Trump

ㅤô¿ô …Not necessarily. Neither man has yet to be charged with a crime. So the decision to resign is based on personal factors. Factors like a celebrity’s ability to emotionally deal with critics. Deal with lawsuits. Survive the worst adversity and come out on top.
ㅤTrump has proven that he can withstand all of the above and win. Franken…I doubt so much.
ㅤThen there is the photographic evidence against Franken. Trump said the evidence is very bad for Franken. If anyone should appreciate the gravity of the evidence, it’s Trump.

Woman accuses Franken of inappropriate grabbing during photo op

ㅤ”She said Franken ‘pulled me in really close, like awkward close, and as my husband took the picture, he put his hand full-fledged on my rear.’
‘It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek,’ she said.
ㅤ’It wasn’t around my waist. It wasn’t around my hip or side. It was definitely on my butt,’ she continued.'”

Brooks: Franken’s Behavior ‘Callous’ – But Shouldn’t Necessarily ‘Be a Career-Ender’ Like Moore’s Behavior

ㅤô¿ô …Misconduct? Penance? Well no. Moore and Franken each stand accused of a crime. Moore’s situation is he said, she said, from which there can’t be a conviction, so Moore won’t even be charged.
ㅤHowever, there is photographic evidence of Franken sexually violating a woman. Franken should easily be convicted and do his “penance” behind bars.
